Depending on your arrival time an optional visit to the Blue Lagoon is highly recommended, but please note that you have to book well in advance. Day 2

You will start your day by heading to Þingvellir national park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the first stop in the famous Golden Circle of Iceland. There you can witness the effects of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates drifting apart. An optional snorkeling session in Silfra fissure is highly recommended. Silfra is located between the two plates so you will be swimming between two continents. Next up is the spouting hot spring Strokkur in the Geysir area before heading to the picturesque waterfall Gullfoss. You will be spending the night in the Golden Circle area. We recommend getting settled at the selected accommodation and grabbing some dinner before heading into the night for the Northern Lights hunt.

The majestic Skógafoss waterfall is next up, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. At Sólheimasandur you can take a stroll down to the abandoned plane wreck made famous in a music video made by the pop artist Justin Bieber. Reynisfjara black sand beach will be your next destination. There you can marvel at the beautiful basalt columns and witness the awe-inspiring power of the North Atlantic ocean crashing into the rocks. Just be careful as the waves can easily drag you into the sea if you get to close. Afterwards you will check into your accommodation before you’ll go searching for the Northern Lights.

You will start your day by driving to the stunning Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Once you arrive at Jökulsárlón you can go for an optional boat ride and sail in between the beautiful icebergs that have calved from the Breiðarmerkurjökull outlet glacier. You can also go for an optional glacier hike or ice climbing session on the enormous Vatnajökull ice cap.
