What you'll experience.

This 3-day winter adventure tour takes you to one of Iceland’s most beautiful geothermal areas, Hveravellir nature reserve. Hveravellir may be one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets with a naturally heated pool and vary picturesque surroundings. It also has an on-site restaurant featuring local Icelandic cuisine that you can enjoy at your leisure. Sitting between the glaciers Langjökull and Hofsjökull, Hveravellir is known as the Oasis of the Highlands. It is one of the last remaining untouched wilderness areas in Europe.

As a geothermal hotspot, the area is dotted with bubbling water holes and smoking fumaroles. The area features several hiking trails through the geothermal area. They lead to an 8,000-year-old lava field and a cave that was one’s home to the infamous outlaw Fjalla-Eyvindur in the 1700’s.

Whether you relax in Iceland’s best-kept secret—the naturally heated pool at Hveravellir nature reserve, traverse rivers, glaciers and volcanoes through the rugged highlands in a powerful Super Jeep, or gaze at the Northern Lights far away from any light pollution, there is no shortage of interesting landmarks to explore on foot during this multi-day winter adventure tour.
