What you'll experience.
Relax your body and soul with the Vök Baths standard admission to the only floating geothermal pools in Iceland with infinity views.
Enjoy a relaxing stay at Vök Baths with the standard admission to the floating geothermal pools and get closer to nature by swimming in the natural lake.
With the Vök Baths standard admission you can experience the age-old Icelandic tradition of bathing in a natural geothermal pool. You will find Vök Baths on the bank of Urriðavatn lake, only a few minutes’ drive from the town of Egilsstaðir in East Iceland.
At Vök Baths you will find, floating geothermal pools with infinity view, two on shore hot pools, a sauna, cold mist tunnel, tea bar, an in-water pool bar, and the on-site restaurant, Vök Bistro.
The geothermal water that flows into the baths is so clean that it is the only certified drinkable hot spring water in Iceland. Our café-restaurant, Vök Bistro, offers a great menu mainly based on organic ingredients from local producers.
Vök Baths opened in the summer of 2019. The water at Vök streams from hot springs deep under the lake. Years ago, during the long arctic winters, the locals noticed that the lake ice always melted in the same place. Our name, Vök, is the Icelandic word for these melted ice holes. Today, these hot springs supply all of the hot water for the surrounding area.
Vök Baths standard admission includes entrance to Vök Baths and a tisane brewed from the spring water and local herbs at the infusion bar.
